about
This is our rendition of an old turn of the century folk song that originally warned sinners about God's judgment. We're not the superstitious types - so for us the idea of God is more just life. The lives we all create and live and how we choose to live them and the inevitability of death. The great equalizer. There's no escape.
We were inspired by Johnny Cash's amazingly haunting rendition that was released posthumously, but wanted to put the slaughterhouse flavor into it as opposed to just a direct cover.
We're also incredibly excited to have had our good friend Adoration Destroyed do featured vocals on this track. His somber timbre added the perfect counter balance to the otherwise manic vocals.
Enjoy!
lyrics
You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later god'll cut you down
Sooner or later god'll cut you down
Go and tell that long tongued liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler the gambler the back biter
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Well my goodness gracious let me tell you the news
My head's been wet with the midnight dew
I've been down on bended knee
Talking to the man from down beneath
He spoke to me in a voice so sweet
I thought I heard the shuffle of the Devil's feet
He called my name and my heart stood still
When he said DAAP go do my will
Go and tell that long tongued liar
Go and tell that holy rider
Tell the saint the sinner the back biter
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later god'll cut you down
Sooner or later god'll cut you down
Sooner or later god'll cut you down
You can throw your rock and hide your hand
Workin in the dark against your fellow man
But as sure as life ain't black and white
What's done in the dark will be brought in the light
You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later god'll cut you down
Sooner or later god'll cut you down
Sooner or later god'll cut you down
Go and tell that long tongued liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler the gambler the back biter
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Go and tell that long tongued liar
Go and tell that holy rider
Tell the saint the sinner the back biter
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down
Tell em that god's gonna cut em down

Everything 3TEETH touches turns into swiss franks, it's especially evident for me since their debut can seem like a drafty dichotamy of minimalistic lyrics & repetative choruses. Most bands couldn't get away with this trick, but here it's really pays off. From the 1st note you will be hooked by totalitarian-like vocals of Alexis Mincolla & his uncompromising counterculture messages in tandem with painstakingly crafted sound of 90's industrial rock reinforced by an evergroovy rhythm-sections. A brilliant band blending elements of industrial, metal and electronic music, with pounding drum beats, distorted synths and raw, powerful vocals. Intense.
My favourite tracks are :
Insubstantia, Pit of Fire,Tower of Disease, Degrade. treets
Dark electronic music gets warped and clobbered on the latest from Author & Punisher. Brooding, cutting, and claustrophobic. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 18, 2017

As my first foray into Dope Star Inc. gotta say it's amazing.
Such a cool 90's/Rock/Pumping sound to it.
Got introduced via Victor Loves facebook and gotta say makes me want Technomancy to come out sooner!. Creed H. Quinn
