Now to unwind this mortal coil
With dime-store books and snake oil
Let's geek the hens - grab the nails
Down in the shed - it never fails
Bring him from the brink of lust where
Children whisper hymns of dust
Pray you
Pray me
Pray you
Pray me
Amen
The messiah comes in messy dreams so bring him now to mend our seams that what he means or so it seems
CHORUS:
Trust in me
I believe
Rust jesus
Set me free
Down in the swamp we build a pyre
Out of twigs and pious liars
On his throne he'll raise us higher
Than all the sinful heathen choirs
Ashen skin and hair of silt
Our savior saves us from guilt
With hands all cracked which suppurate
Seeping through a life of faith
We stand in awe of our facade
Fall to our knees and pray to god
CHORUS
I need the tetanus to secure my place as his right hand
I am his anger and his vengeance everything he commands
I feel the spirit taking over this husk of a man
I'll lose control and sweep the dregs from this poisoned land
And what I do and what I say and what touch goes cold
These empty sockets contain nothing but blackened coal
The light that fills me hollows me out leaves a gaping hole
Seeking deeper into nothing I reach out for my soul
Trust in me I believe in
Trust in me rust jesus
I decay
I like it this way
And still I pray
To rust Jesus
A brilliant band blending elements of industrial, metal and electronic music, with pounding drum beats, distorted synths and raw, powerful vocals. Intense.
My favourite tracks are :
Insubstantia, Pit of Fire,Tower of Disease, Degrade. treets

Dark electronic music gets warped and clobbered on the latest from Author & Punisher. Brooding, cutting, and claustrophobic. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 18, 2017
I was pleasantly-surprised by this album. I was expecting something colder, slower, and ambient from what little I first heard before I bought it. Instead, it's not too unlike the later Mechanical Soul. There's elements of old and new FLA here, and there's parts of this that I rather like. I wouldn't mind more collab songs, for one, or for more flirting with other genres. Give me both vaporwave-y songs AND hardcore industrial dance. Rocket Verliden
